What is Triac?
The Triac is an electronic component that is used for current control, basically, it caiin do the switch function of a transistor, but this component does it in alternating current, unlike the transistor that does it in direct current.

How does a triac work?
The operation of this component is quite easy to understand since it has three terminals, two anodes and a gate or better known in English as a gate. The alternating current is placed on the anodes together with the element to be controlled, be it a motor, a lamp, an oven, etc. It can be anything that works with alternating current. Finally, once we place a current inside the gate terminal, it activates to act as a closed switch. To deactivate it, simply remove the current from the entire circuit.

The operation of the Triac is very similar to that of a transistor since to activate these components you must overpass the threshold current at the gate terminal.
