LED lamps: What are they?
LED lamps (Light Emitting Diode) are electrical devices made up of an electronic component called LED, which is a small light-emitting diode. This component has high efficiency, that is, it produces a lot of light with little energy.
Its luminous power is high and the electric power is low, it does not need a reactor to function, but it does need a drive. Its production of a luminous flux even with low power, is equal to the production of light from the incandescent lamp.
LED Lamps: How Do They Work?
The tubular Led lamp works in a much simpler way than we think! In its structure, it has an electronic circuit that is responsible for adjusting the voltage that arrives at the lamp to 12V, which is the voltage that the lamp needs to operate the drive.
In addition to the electronic circuit, the Led lamp has a Led strip that runs the entire length of the lamp glass and also has a socket with two pins on each side for its installation.
With this structure, the Led lamp works when the electronic circuit receives and adjusts the lamp voltage, distributing this voltage to the led strip so that each Led receives the necessary voltage to function.

How to install a LED Tube Light?
In this part of the article, we will teach you how to install a LED tube light and how to replace a fluorescent lamp with an LED one.
Before working with electricity, it is always recommended to turn the circuit breaker off from the place where the installation is going to be carried out or the general circuit breaker if there are no separate circuits.
Pay close attention to the LED lamp installation scheme, as there are two schemes! One has the return and neutral connection on the same side of the lamp and the other has the return connection on one side and the neutral on the other.

Replacing a fluorescent lamp with an LED
In exchange for these lamps, you will need to remove the ballast from the fluorescent lamp, as the LED lamp does not need a ballast to function.
It is advisable to use protective masks and glasses because, in addition to the dirt that usually accumulates inside the lamp, there is also the risk of some animal or insect leaving it!
Remove the protection grid if any, remove the lamp and fixing screws from the luminaire after that remove the luminaire and the ballast will appear. Disconnect the cables that supply the reactor and remove it, mark the return cable and the neutral cable so that it does not confuse them.
After observing and knowing the lamp connection scheme, take the power wires and connect them directly to the socket of the luminaire. Secure the luminaire again by tightening the screws so that it is not unstable.
After that, insert the LED lamp into the sockets of the luminaire, respecting the scheme so as not to fit it wrong, and turn the circuit breaker back on to check the operation, if it is working correctly, its replacement was a success!
Installing the LED Lamp
The installation process is very similar to the exchange process! With the lighting point defined, identify the return cable and the neutral cable and mark them so as not to confuse them. Then turn off the lamp circuit breaker or the general circuit breaker if there is no separation of circuits. Observe the wiring diagram for the LED lamp and connect the power cables to the socket of the luminaire, respecting this diagram.
After that, you must fix the luminaire to the lighting point by tightening the screws well so that it does not become unstable. Now just plug the LED lamp into the sockets of the luminaire, always respecting the wiring diagram so as not to fit it wrong. Turn the circuit breaker back on and check the operation, if it is working correctly your installation was a success!
