The use of solar energy is feasible in practically the entire territory of tropical countries;

In places far from energy production centers, the generation of photovoltaic energy contributes to reducing energy demand in these places, in addition to reducing the energy losses that would occur in transmission.

Despite the advantages of solar energy, the generation of photovoltaic energy has some disadvantages, which are:

Energy production can vary according to the climatic situation;
At night there is no generation of energy, so there is a need to store the energy produced during the day;
Solar panels have a low yield, although this yield is increasing over time;
